Bill of Materials (BOM) Link

In your ERP system you can create such type of a product which is called a bill of materials (BOM). It refers to the complex component structure, basically this is a list of materials or components which is used to build the final product and from which this product actually consists of.

The Bill of Materials (BOM) link content element is used to show a link that opens an overlay with the bill of material components.

In the Sana webstore a customer can see a link View package contents on the product details page of a BOM product. Clicking on this link opens the list of BOM components.

Change the Text of the Bill of Materials (BOM) Link

Many webstores name the link as View package contents. However, you might prefer to use the words Package content, Product components, Product structure, or whatever text you like.

You can easily change the text of the Bill of Materials (BOM) link in the English language or any other installed webstore language. There are two ways to change the default text of the link.

  1. You can use the built-in Sana tool In-site editor.

    In Sana Admin click: Setup > Page elements & messages. On the All texts tab, click the button Browse in webstore. This way you can edit the text of the link directly on the webstore.


  1. You can find the default text of the link in Sana Admin and change it. For more information, see Webstore UI Texts.

    In Sana Admin click: Setup > Page elements & messages. To find the necessary text, on the All texts tab, search for ViewPackageContents ID. Here you can change the default text of the Bill of Materials (BOM) link.


Advanced Tab

On the Advanced tab of the Bill of Materials (BOM) link content element, you can configure height, width and spacing settings.
