Mix and Match Discounts
If you enable mix and match discounts, you cannot use ERP coupons and item variants. Only one of these functions can be used at a time.
The mix and match discount gives customers a discount when they purchase a specific combination of items. For example, if customers buy a laptop, they will receive a 50% discount on the laptop case. You can set up the same discount % for all items in the mix and match offer or it can be a different discount % for each item. The discount description is shown on all product details pages of those products that are included in the mix and match offer to inform customers about the deal and attract their attention.
You can create mix and match discounts for items or item groups. In SAP Business One you cannot add both items and item groups to the same mix and match discount.
Several mix and match discounts can be calculated in the shopping cart. If a customer adds products to the shopping cart which meet the criteria of multiple mix and match discounts, all of them will be applied.

Copy a Mix and Match Discount
If you need to create several similar mix and match discounts, there is no need to create a mix and match discount from scratch. You can save time and use an existing mix and match discount as a template. You can just copy an existing discount and change it the way you need. Open the necessary mix and match discount and click Copy Record. All the settings and items are copied from one mix and match discount to the other.
Then you can modify a mix and match discount. You can change the copied mix and match discount only when it is not active.
You cannot enable two completely identical mix and match discounts. You will see a notification informing that the same mix and match discount already exists.
Mix and Match Discounts Priority
On the left, you can see the list of all created mix and match discounts and change their priority by moving up and down in the list.
Several mix and match discounts can be calculated in the shopping cart. If a customer adds items to the shopping cart which meet the criteria of multiple mix and match discounts, all of them will be applied. But in some cases, the mix and match discount is applied based on priority. See the example in the table below.
Mix and Match Discount |
Items |
Shopping Cart |
---|---|---|
Discount 1 |
Item A - Quantity 5 |
Item A - Quantity 5 |
Discount 2 |
Item A - Quantity 5 |
In the table above, you can see that both mix and match discounts have Item A. If a customer adds Item A, Item B and Item C to the shopping cart with the quantity set in the mix and match discounts, Discount 1 will be applied as it has higher priority. The mix and match discount 2 will not be calculated for Item C. But if a customer adds 10 units of Item A (Discount 1 + Discount 2) to the shopping cart, the discount will be also calculated for Item C.
Discount Types
In SAP Business One a user can set up different discounts for an item. You can set up a standard SAP Business One discount, for example special prices for business partners or volume discounts and Sana’s mix and match discounts. If the same item has two different discounts, you can choose which discount must be calculated for an item. The selected discount type defines how multiple discounts, configured for the same item, are calculated.
In SAP Business One click: Web Store > Web Stores. In the Web Store field, select the necessary web store and on the Pricing & Variants tab, select the checkbox Enable Mix and Match Discounts. In the Discount Type field, select the discount type.
The table below provides the description of the available options.
Discount Type |
Description |
---|---|
ERP Discount |
The standard SAP Business One discounts, for example special prices for business partners or volume discounts are calculated and they override the Sana’s mix and match discount. By default, the ERP Discount type is selected. If an item does not have any standard SAP Business One discounts, but Sana’s mix and match discount, the Sana’s mix and match discount will be calculated for an item in the shopping cart. |
SANA Discount |
Sana’s mix and match discount is calculated and it overrides the standard SAP Business One discount. If Sana's mix and match discount is not calculated for an item in the shopping cart, but there is the standard SAP Business One discount for that item, then it will be calculated. |
Best Price |
SAP Business One compares two discounts for an item – the standard SAP Business One discount and Sana’s mix and match discount. When you select the Best Price discount type, the Priority field appears. In the Priority field, you can select the necessary discount priority.
|
Compounded |
The standard SAP Business One discount and Sana’s mix and match discount percentages are summed up. The maximum compounded discount percentage is 100%. |
After selecting the necessary discount type and setting up a mix and match discount, open Sana Admin and click: System > Scheduled tasks. Run the General information import task to synchronize settings between Sana and SAP Business One and apply mix and match discounts in the Sana web store.
In the examples below see how the discount is calculated for an item depending on a particular discount type.

If an item does not have any standard SAP Business One discounts, but Sana’s mix and match discount, the Sana’s mix and match discount will be calculated for an item in the shopping cart.

Discount Priority for Items Assigned to Item Groups
In SAP Business One you can create mix and match discounts for items assigned to item groups. When you create a mix and match discount for item groups, the option Single Item Discount appears.
-
If you enable the option Single Item Discount, the mix and match discount will be applied to one item assigned to the item group based on the mix and match discounts priority. By default, this option is enabled.
-
If you disable the option Single Item Discount, the mix and match discount will be applied to all items assigned to the item group separately.
If the option Single Item Discount is enabled, in the Discount Priority field, you can select the necessary discount priority.
-
Lowest – if you select this option, it means that the item with the lowest price assigned to the item group will get a mix and match discount.
Below you can see the example of the mix and match discount offer when the discount priority in the item group is set to Lowest.
