Tags

Tags are labels which can help you organize your contacts.

Export newsletter subscription

Enable this option to import all activated shop accounts and all newsletter subscriptions to Mailchimp.

If this option is disabled, only activated shop accounts will be imported to Mailchimp, but not newsletter subscriptions.

Export abandoned carts

Enable this option to import all customers’ abandoned carts to Mailchimp.

The term abandoned cart refers to the situation when a user adds some products to the shopping cart but leaves the website’s checkout process without completing a purchase.

For more information, see Send Abandoned Cart E-Mails.

Remove non-existent shop accounts

This option is enabled by default to keep the audience up to date.

If a shop account is removed from Sana or it does not exist in Sana for some reason, then after you run the Customer data export task in Sana Admin, this shop account will be removed from the audience in Mailchimp.

If this option is disabled, after you run the Customer data export task in Sana Admin, the shop account which does not exist in Sana will not be removed from the audience in Mailchimp.

Customer segments

Select a customer segment which will fetch the customers from your ERP system based on the filter expressions configured in the selected customer segment. The customers which satisfy the filter criteria set in the selected customer segment will be imported from the database into Mailchimp.

Customer data from ERP will be imported only for those customers who have shop accounts in Sana.

For more information on how to create customer segments in Sana Admin, see Customer Segments.

Do not create several customer segments with the same name neither in Sana nor in Mailchimp. This can cause an issue, like removing the customer segment with the same name from Mailchimp or replacing the existing customer segment by the one that has the same name.

In some cases, the customer emails can be hard bounced due to various circumstances. These emails can be identified by the cleaned status in Mailchimp. The e-mails with the cleaned status cannot be subscribed to the list again.

For more information about cleaned and unsubscribed customers, see View Unsubscribed and Cleaned Addresses on the Mailchimp web site.

Send Abandoned Cart E-Mails

The term abandoned cart refers to the situation when a user adds some products to the shopping cart but leaves the website’s checkout process without completing a purchase. Mailchimp allows to set up e-mails which will be send to customers who abandoned their carts.

Go through the following steps to import abandoned carts and manage abandoned cart e-mails:

Step 1: To import customers’ abandoned carts from Sana to Mailchimp, you need to enable the Export abandoned carts option in the settings of the Mailchimp add-on and then start the Customer data export task in Sana Admin.

Step 2: Log in to Mailchimp and click on the Integrations icon. On the Integrations page click Manage Your Sites. Find Abandoned Cart Email. Here you will see the quantity of abandoned carts. Click Add on the Abandoned Cart Email. Configure the abandoned cart e-mail settings and design the template. Based on your configurations, a new campaign will be created in Mailchimp.

Step 3: When the abandoned cart e-mail is configured in Mailchimp, start the Customer data export task in Sana Admin again. Only after you configure the abandoned cart e-mail and run the Customer data export task for the second time, the abandoned carts will be imported from Sana to Mailchimp.

You will need to go through these steps only once when you import abandoned carts for the first time. In case you are using several audiences, you will need to do these steps for each audience separately. The next time you import the abandoned carts, they will be automatically added to the campaign and the e-mails will be send to the customers.

For more information about abandoned carts, see the official Mailchimp documentation Create an Abandoned Cart Email.
