Customer Data Export
The Customer data export scheduled task is used only for the dotdigital and Mailchimp add-ons. The task is available only if one of these add-ons is installed.
Dotdigital and Mailchimp allow you to send marketing e-mails, automated messages, and targeted campaigns. The robust marketing automation of these add-ons makes sure your e-mails get to the right people at the right time. The integration of dotdigital and Mailchimp with Sana Commerce Cloud allows to send e-mails to the target customers based on their behavior, preferences, and sales order history.
Using dotdigital and Mailchimp, you can keep your customers up to date about different news or promotional campaigns, their purchases or new products they might like. Together with customer segments, you can show your most profitable customers how deeply you appreciate their business and confidence by sending them personalized e-mails.
If connection between Sana Commerce Cloud and dotdigital is established, you need to run the Customer data export task. The Customer data export task will import all customers which satisfy the filter criteria set in the selected customer segment, with the information based on the added data fields, and newsletter subscriptions, if selected, from the database to dotdigital.
If connection between Sana Commerce Cloud and Mailchimp or dotdigital is established, you need to run the Customer data export task. The Customer data export task will import all shop accounts, guest customers and all newsletter subscriptions, or all shop accounts and guest customers without newsletter subscriptions, or all shop accounts and guest customers which satisfy the filter criteria set in the selected customer segment from the database to Mailchimp or dotdigital, depending on how you configured Mailchimp and dotdigital in Sana.
In Sana Commerce Cloud it is possible to create one to multi relation shop accounts. The shop accounts with one to multi relation type can have multiple customer accounts assigned to them. If you use the one to multi relation shop accounts, then when the Customer data export task is run, the data for all customer accounts assigned to the shop account will be imported to Mailchimp or dotdigital.
