What’s New?

B2B Customer Registration

In recent years, those in B2B businesses have become increasingly interested in digital transformation. More and more businesses are switching to online sales instead of or in addition to in-person sales. This has been influenced by various factors, such as the digitalization of society and COVID-19. Despite all of this, many B2B webstores are missing one or several features that could increase sales and improve the customer experience, for example, online customer registration for B2B customers. Moreover, if you serve both B2C and B2B customers, you may need to request different information about B2C and B2B customers during registration.

Therefore, in addition to B2C customer registration, we added the ability for B2B customers to also register online in the Sana webstore.

  • B2C and B2B customers can now register in the Sana webstore separately.
  • You can still create shop accounts in Sana Admin for existing B2B customers in ERP and allow new B2B customers to register online themselves.
  • You can create different registration forms for B2C and B2B customers.
  • There is an approval process for newly registered B2B customers.
  • Different customer templates with predefined data can be used for B2C and B2B customers in ERP.

Lists: More Options

Just two weeks ago, we released a new feature called Lists that allows customers to create a list of products they are not currently going to buy, but perhaps later. In this release, we've added a few new options.

  1. Share lists – Sales agents and their business customers, account managers and their sub-accounts can share lists with each other. For example, it can be useful for sales agents to prepare a list of products needed by their business customers and share it with them for approval.
  2. Search products to quickly add to the list – On the list details page, you can use search to find the necessary product and add it to the list. Customers can now add products to the list from the product page and the list details page.
  3. Profile back link – We added a back link to the list details page. It takes the user back to the lists page.

Moved Last Login Date and Last Web Order Date from Shop Accounts to Sales Statistics

Just so you know, we removed two fields Last login date and Last web order date from the Shop accounts page in Sana Admin and added them to the Sales statistics page instead.

Add Sana to Your Mobile Device Home Screen

When browsing the Web on your phone, you may want quick access to several websites you visit most often. You may not have known, but your smartphone or tablet home screen is more than just a place for apps. You can also add shortcuts to your most visited websites so that you can access them with a single tap. Of course, you can add websites as bookmarks in your browser, but then again you’ll need to open the browser in order to visit them. When you add a website shortcut to the home screen, it opens similarly to a native application, but not in a browser.

We extended webstore themes in Sana Admin with multiple settings that define certain information about the Sana Commerce Cloud application when added to the home screen of a smartphone or tablet, such as name and icon.

Bug Fixes

One of the benefits of the minor releases on a regular basis is that you constantly receive bug fixes. Below you can see the list of some bugs that we fixed in this release. We do not add all bug fixes, but only the most important ones, since there are many technical fixes, minor design fixes, or performance-related fixes that we do not add to the release notes.

  1. Fixed an issue with product page preview when customer assortment is used.
  2. Fixed an issue with translating a Sana text content element if the page has not been saved yet.
  3. Fixed two issues related to images – one was a problem with displaying PNG images in the webstore and in Sana Admin, the other was that the Product image import task sometimes failed when importing product images from ERP.
  4. Fixed an issue with displaying product specifications on the product group pages in Sana Admin.
  5. Fixed an issue with displaying the form fields in different languages.
  6. Fixed an issue with the disappearance of the blog articles overview when changing the language or logging out from the webstore.
