Customer Authentication

Sana Commerce Cloud supports two different types of authentication for webstore customers:

  • Sana shop accounts – a type of authentication built into Sana Commerce Cloud and provides a simple authentication scheme that authenticates the webstore customer based on the username and password. The shop account can be created manually in Sana Admin (B2B customers and sales agents) or automatically when a customer registers in the webstore online (B2C and B2B customers).

For more information, see Shop Accounts.

  • Single sign-on – this type of authentication uses single sign-on with accounts that exist in your identity provider. It allows webstore customers to easily log in to the Sana webstore using their identity provider credentials which provides a seamless and secure authentication experience.

For more information, see Single Sign-On.

You can use any type of authentication that works best for you or both.
