Alternative Items

In SAP Business One we extend the standard functionality of alternative items which was previously used only to show related items on the product details pages of the Sana webstore.

Now you can also use alternative items in SAP Business One to add item substitutions to the original item.

An alternative item can be used to automatically replace the item in the shopping cart with its alternative item if the original item is out of stock, for example, or because the item has been discontinued. In this case, customers will see a message in the shopping cart informing them about this replacement.
