What’s New?

Subscriptions: Online Payments Using any Payment Provider

In this release, we are happy to announce that customers can pay for their subscription orders online using any payment provider integrated with Sana Commerce Cloud, for example, Sana Pay, Amazon Pay, Buckaroo, Eway, PayFabric, Versapay, and Worldline. This way, you can offer convenience and security to your customers, allowing them to select from a range of trusted payment services.

Previously, Sana Commerce Cloud allowed webstore visitors to pay their subscription orders either on account or using the Internal (on account) payment method.

We improved the customer experience and now once a sales order is created, customers receive an e-mail notifying them that their subscription order requires payment. This e-mail includes a link to the payment page as well as a link to view the subscription details.

For more information, see Subscription Order Payments.

Security Improvements

We are committed to continually improving our security measures to provide you with a safe and reliable platform for your e-commerce operations. With these changes, we continue to maintain robust security protocols. In this release, we have introduced session binding for webstore customers, along with several minor security enhancements.

Binding of a Session

A few months ago, we implemented session binding for Sana Admin accounts, and it is now also available for webstore accounts. Session binding is used to associate a user’s login session with specific data that uniquely identifies this session to provide an extra layer of security. This binding ensures that the session is tightly coupled with certain data that is difficult to forge or replicate, thereby enhancing security. The goal of session binding is to reduce the risk of user’s login session hijacking and unauthorized access.

Bug Fixes

One of the benefits of the minor releases on a regular basis is that you constantly receive bug fixes. Below you can see the list of some bugs that we fixed in this release. We do not add all bug fixes, but only the most important ones, since there are many technical fixes, minor design fixes, or performance-related fixes that we do not add to the release notes.

  1. Fixed an issue with a shipping address not being identified as the default address in the Sana webstore when an additional field was present.

  2. Fixed an issue that caused the product price to not change on the product group page when changing the unit of measure.

  3. Fixed an issue with showing the product list price for a product group instead of the lowest price for a product in a product group.

  4. Fixed an issue with displaying the correct file modification date in the file manager in Sana Admin in the user’s time zone.

  5. Fixed an issue with editing an Image content item on web pages when the image is broken or has been deleted.
