Using the sales order settings of a product in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, you can define the default and site-specific sales quantities for a product. The configured in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations sales quantities for a product are used on the product pages and in the shopping cart of the Sana webshop.

In Sana Admin under: Setup > Products > Units of measure, webshop administrator can define quantity rounding for products per unit of measure.

If sales quantities are set in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations for a product, they will be used. If a product in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations does not have sales quantities, quantity rounding from Sana Admin will be used.

To configure the default sales quantities in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, select a product and on the Manage inventory tab, click Default order settings. Sales quantities for a product can be defined on the Sales order FastTab.

The table below provides the description of the sales quantity fields.

Field

Description

Multiple

Enter the default quantity to use for requirement calculations.

This is the default quantity in which the product is produced. When a customer changes product quantity in the Sana webshop, it will be increased or decreased based on the value set in this field.

Min. order quantity

Enter the minimum allowed number of items a customer can order.

If it is set, a customer will not be able to order the product with a quantity less than it is defined in this field.

Max. order quantity

Enter the maximum allowed number of items a customer can order.

If it is set, a customer will not be able to order the product with a quantity more than it is defined in this field.

Standard order quantity

Enter the default quantity of a product to use when a customer places an order.

The standard order quantity is shown by default for a product in the Sana webshop.

If you use a multi-site environment you can define sales quantities for a product for different sites and warehouses. This means that different authenticated customers can see different sales quantities depending on the site.

To define sales quantities for a product for different sites and warehouses, in the Default order settings window, create a new record. In the general area of the Default order settings window, select the necessary Site.

On the Sales order FastTab, set the options Override default storage dimension and Override default settings to Yes. Define site specific sales quantities for a product. You can also select the default warehouse on the Sales order FastTab, if necessary.

If site or warehouse is set as mandatory, it will override the site / warehouse settings set for a customer.

Sales quantities for a product are configured for the base unit of measure. If multiple units of measure are set for a product, the quantities are adjusted based on the unit of measure conversion rules configured in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.

For more information, see Units of Measure.

In case with site specific sales quantities, the sales quantities will be applied to a product, only if the site for which the sales quantities are configured coincides with the site set for a customer.

For example, you have two sites, WEST and CENTRAL, and you set up different sales quantities for each site.

Sales Quantities Configured for the WEST Site

Sales Quantities Configured for the CENTRAL Site

For example, the CENTRAL site and the ANNARBO warehouse is set for a customer. When this customer logs in to the Sana webshop and selects the product quantity, the sales quantities set for the CENTRAL site and the ANNARBO warehouse will be applied to the product and shown to the customer.
