Logging
Logging is used to write XML requests from Sana Commerce Cloud to Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations and to write back responses from ERP to Sana. Sana communicates with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations via Web service. Developers and technical consultants can use XML requests and responses for troubleshooting and debugging.
By default, logging is disabled as it affects performance. Therefore, it is better to use it only for debugging purposes.
Step 1: In Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations click: Webshop > Setup > Parameters.
Step 2: Use the Enable logging option to enable or disable logging. In the Logging output directory field, specify the path to the folder in Microsoft Azure where the log files should be stored. The user who runs Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations must have write permissions to the folder which is specified in the Logging output directory field.
If logging is enabled, click on the Log file browser button next to the Logging output directory field to see the list of all log files, the type of each log file, and the date the log file was created. You can download any request or response and open it. This can be useful for technical users who use logs to identify certain problems and for debugging purposes.
You can also process requests using Manual Process Requests for debugging purposes.
