nShift Additional Information

  1. Most of the nShift carriers request a customer to enter a phone number. If the shipping address doesn't contain the phone number, those shipping methods which use nShift as the calculation method will not be available for delivery for the shipping addresses without the phone number. If you are sure that the Consignor carries you are using do not require the phone number of the customers to calculate the shipping cost, you can skip it.

To add the phone number field to the customer's shipping address form, open Sana Admin and click: Setup > Profiles & addresses. On the Consumer shipping tab, you can add the phone number field to the B2C customer shipping address and on the Business shipping tab, you can add the phone number field to the B2B customer shipping address. For more information, see Customer Shipping Addresses.

Once you add the phone number field to the customer's shipping address form, then when a customer places an order in the Sana web store and goes through the checkout process, a customer will have to specify the phone number on the Shipping information checkout step.

  2. Product title is used as the content of the nShift shipping line.

  3. When the shipping cost is calculated by nShift, the current date and time will be used as pickup and delivery start time. It has no impact on the shipping cost.

  4. Shipping rates are calculated based on the product dimensions, weight and unit of measure set in your ERP system.
  5. If the value in the Sana UOM field is set to None, then it is required to specify item weight and item dimensions for nShift to calculate the shipping costs. If you select a unit of measure in the Sana UOM field, then nShift calculates the shipping costs based on the item weight.
