Default Plant

We have extended the functionality of plants in SAP S/4HANA by adding the ability to select a default plant.

This may be necessary if the material is kept in multiple plants in SAP S/4HANA and:

• If you retrieve plant data for the materials from the MARC table using the extra fields mapping. It is necessary to take the correct data for the selected (default) plant. Otherwise, the first available plant entry is used.
• If you use the Estimated Shipment Date content element add-on. To show the estimated shipment date on the product details page for the default plant. If the default plant is not set, the estimated shipment date will be taken for the first available plant entry.
