KIT Quantity Shortage
Depending on how sales order processing is configured in Microsoft Dynamics GP, you may be able to enter a quantity greater than the quantity that is available in inventory. Item quantities are checked when an item is allocated. When you are allocating a kit, you are actually allocating the kit components because kit quantities are tracked for the components, not the kit item as a whole.
Sana Commerce Cloud now supports the following shortage options for kit items:
- Override Shortage - The quantity shortage for every component will be overridden. The quantity available in inventory will be a negative number for each component with a quantity shortage.
- Back Order All - The entire quantity will be back-ordered, including each kit component.
