Editing Orders with Out-of-Stock Items

NOTE

Compatibility: Sana Commerce Cloud 1.89 and higher

We have improved the order editing functionality to better account for stock availability. Previously, when a customer edited an open order in the Sana webshop, Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations treated the items in the order as already purchased, rather than reserved specifically for that order. This could lead to situations where order editing resulted in unavailable items, or it was not possible to add the desired quantity of items. With our improvements, such issues are now mitigated, ensuring smoother order modifications and accurate stock management.

Other Changes

  • In this release, we have implemented technical enhancements to our Sana Commerce Cloud ERP connector for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. While these changes aren't immediately noticeable, they lay the foundation for upcoming features in the core Sana Commerce Cloud product. These technical changes allow future functionality in the Sana Commerce Cloud core product to run seamlessly after development is complete. These changes will already be used in the new features of upcoming Sana Commerce Cloud releases.

    To lift the veil of secrecy, the new functionality in the core Sana Commerce Cloud product that requires these changes and that we will soon release is related to more flexibility in displaying and finding the necessary data in the sales documents in the Sana webshop.

  • The customer assortment rules based on product categories have been optimized. This optimization has significantly improved the product indexing performance in scenarios with many customer assortment rules based on product categories.

  • The Sana ERP connector for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations now checks for new versions. This enhancement ensures that users are promptly notified of any available updates. When a new connector version is released, users will be notified through the standard notifications system in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations action center.

Bug Fixes

Below you will find a list of key bugs fixed in this release. We have not included every bug fix, focusing instead on the most critical ones.

  1. Fixed an issue with removing the webshop in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations after removing the category hierarchy assigned to that webshop. When the category hierarchy was removed, the webshop was also removed.
  2. Fixed an issue with the incorrect display of product data in the Webshop catalog overview form when the webshop filter for the category hierarchy is configured.
  3. Fixed an issue with indexing contacts without names. Such contacts were not indexed by Sana Commerce Cloud.
  4. Fixed an issue related to incorrect price calculation per unit set in the trade agreement for retail orders. It worked correctly for standard orders, the problem was only with retail orders.
  5. Fixed an issue with integrity check for guest accounts. The validation message was shown for the number sequence setup of guest accounts even though it was correctly configured.
