Support of Service and Non-Inventory Item Types
In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central there are three item types: Inventory, Service and Non-Inventory. Sana has always used the Inventory items.
- The Inventory type involves full tracking of inventory quantity. This item type has always been supported by Sana.
- The Service and Non-Inventory types do not involve tracking of inventory quantity. In the Sana Data Validation Rules, we have a rule that validates the value of the Inventory Posting Group which is only required for items of the Inventory type. By changing this rule, we support now all three item types. For Service and Non-Inventory items, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central does not involve inventory tracking, so these items are always available for purchase in the Sana webshop, if they are valid.
