Alternative Items

In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central we extend the standard functionality of item substitutions which were previously used only to show related items on the product details pages.

Now you can also use item substitutions to add alternative items to the original item.

An alternative item can be used to automatically replace the item in the shopping cart with its alternative item if the original item is out of stock for example.
