What’s New?

Content Presets

We are pleased to announce a new feature called Presets that makes creating and editing content much faster and easier.

Presets or content presets are predefined content variations that can be used by content editors and marketers to quickly create nice-looking content. You can think of it as a sort of template for content creation.

Presets consist of a predefined layout, a row with a certain number of columns, and content elements. All these elements, such as rows, columns, and content elements, already have certain settings and demo content, such as colors, borders, margins, and paddings. All you have to do is replace the demo content with your own and change some settings if necessary. Presets can be used together with content elements.

In this release we provide the first 16 presets:

  • Banner
  • Full width banner
  • Samples banner
  • Sales banner
  • Simple article
  • Article
  • Banner with single button
  • Banner with multiple buttons
  • Banner and USPs
  • Team (1x3 grid)
  • Team (1x4 grid)
  • Team (2x2 grid)
  • Newsletter
  • Simple USP bar
  • USP bar
  • Flexi tiles

ERP Logging Time Limit

We limited logging of all requests to ERP and responses in Sana Admin to 8 hours. When the user enables ERP logging in Sana Admin, it affects performance and storage usage. Therefore, we recommend using it only for debugging purposes and disable when it is not needed. But if the user forgets to disable it, ERP logging will be disabled automatically after 8 hours.

Cross-References Between Shop Accounts and Sales Statistics

To easily navigate between shop accounts and customer sales statistics and see related data, we added cross-references. Now you can open customers’ sales statistics from their shop accounts, and shop account details from the customer's sales statistics.

Default Webstore Access Mode

We changed the default access mode of the webstore from Production to Limited. This is done because when Sana Commerce Cloud is installed, the webstore is not yet configured and filled with content to make it public.

Moved Audit Logging to a New Location

We moved Audit logging in Sana Admin from the Shop maintenance menu item to System. The webstore and Sana Admin logs are now next to each other under the same menu item.

Editing Customer Address Template in Order Details

In the order details, customers can see their addresses, such as billing and shipping addresses.

A kind of template is used to display customer addresses. This template can now be edited using the in-site editor or in the page elements and messages. You can remove some unnecessary information or add some content there, for example, some text, image, or icon.

Don’t Break the Page if Something Is Wrong with the Content Element

Anything can happen, and not everything can be predicted. And for such unpredictable issues, we do try to develop some protective mechanisms. In this case, we made it so that if something went wrong with the content element add-on, because of some problem or incompatibility of something, such content element will simply not be shown on the webstore page, rather than breaking it.

Bug Fixes

One of the benefits of the minor releases on a regular basis is that you constantly receive bug fixes. Below you can see the list of some bugs that we fixed in this release. We do not add all bug fixes, but only the most important ones, since there are many technical fixes, minor design fixes, or performance-related fixes that we do not add to the release notes.

  1. Fixed an issue with Sana crashing when product detail pages were linked to menu items and the same menu items were selected as the main navigation items for those product detail pages.
  2. Fixed an issue with incorrect calculation of the order total due to incorrect shipping cost.
  3. Fixed an issue with the Shop accounts page in Sana Admin showing an error if there are sales agent accounts that can represent all customers.
  4. Fixed an issue with breadcrumb disappearing when a user logs out of the webstore.
  5. Fixed an issue with copying text with the applied styles from content elements such as Paragraph. The text was copied without the applied styles.
