What’s New?

Large Order Strategy Now Supports Unified Pricing Management and Retail Functionality in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations

The large order strategy lets your customers create and process very large orders while reducing the load on your ERP system. Until now, though, it had a limitation with discounts and advanced pricing. Some discounts, such as mix and match discounts, depend on the contents of the whole shopping cart, not on separate order lines. These discounts could not always be applied correctly to large orders.

We are redesigning the large order strategy in stages, starting with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. With this release, the large order strategy supports Unified Pricing Management and Retail functionality. Before this release, this functionality worked only with the Default order processing strategy.

Sana Commerce Cloud now looks at the full shopping cart, including every update a buyer makes. This way, discounts are checked and applied the same way across the whole order. Line amounts, subtotals, and order totals match your discount setup in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, and the large order strategy keeps its performance benefits. Your buyers get correct prices on large orders and a smooth ordering experience. You no longer have to choose between advanced pricing and fast processing of large orders.

To use this functionality, you need Sana Commerce Cloud 1.158 or later and Sana ERP Connector 10.0.155 or later in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.

Bug Fixes

One of the benefits of the minor releases on a regular basis is that you constantly receive bug fixes. Below you can see the list of some bugs that we fixed in this release. We do not add all bug fixes, but only the most important ones, since there are many technical fixes, minor design fixes, or performance-related fixes that we do not add to the release notes.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented customers from placing orders when required checkout header fields, such as the Reference number field on the Order overview page, were displayed and populated.
  • Fixed an issue where the delivery date was displayed in an incorrect format on the Order overview checkout step after changing the webstore language.
  • Fixed an issue where searching for a query containing the % symbol in the webstore mobile layout caused the search functionality to crash.
  • Fixed an issue where all webstore pages were displayed in English instead of the selected language.
  • Fixed an issue where advanced shipping cost rules were not applied according to sort order, causing a cheaper generic postal code rule to override a more specific rule.
  • Fixed an issue where the Schedule icon in the new visual designer is visually inconsistent with the existing design and does not respond when clicked.
  • Fixed an issue with various visual inconsistencies and incorrect UI behavior in the new visual designer, affecting selection indicators, draft row tooltips, and draggable item counters.

We're committed to continuously enhancing Sana. Keep an eye on upcoming release notes to stay informed about what's new.
