Learn about improvements and bug fixes in this release.

Not every release comes with new features, but we're always working behind the scenes to improve Sana Commerce Cloud. From boosting performance and reliability to fixing bugs and refining the user experience, each update helps make Sana Commerce Cloud better. We also include essential security updates to keep your data and our system safe. All of these improvements lay the groundwork for a stable, secure, and scalable platform. At the same time, we are working on new functionality that will be included in future releases.

What’s New?

CAPTCHA: Support Extended to Guest Checkout

Google reCAPTCHA and Friendly Captcha are now supported on the guest checkout page, extending CAPTCHA coverage to one of the most critical steps in the purchasing process.

Previously, CAPTCHA protection was available for the following pages:

  • Contact Us
  • Customer registration (B2C / B2B)
  • Forgot password
  • Write a review
  • Newsletter subscription
  • Write a comment

With this addition, webstore administrators can apply the same bot protection to guest checkout, helping to prevent fraudulent and automated order submissions and ensuring a more secure experience for both the business and its customers.

New Visual Designer: Custom Row Layouts Using Fractions

The new visual designer now supports custom row layouts using fractions, restoring a capability that was available in the classic (old) visual designer.

Previously, when creating a page, users could only select from a set of predefined row layouts. With this update, users can define their own layouts using a 12-column grid, specifying the number of columns per row and setting each column to a different width using fractions. This gives content editors significantly more flexibility and control over page structure, making it possible to create tailored layouts that go beyond the standard presets.

For more information, see Page Layouts.

Bug Fixes

One of the benefits of the minor releases on a regular basis is that you constantly receive bug fixes. Below you can see the list of some bugs that we fixed in this release. We do not add all bug fixes, but only the most important ones, since there are many technical fixes, minor design fixes, or performance-related fixes that we do not add to the release notes.

  • Fixed an issue where state data was incorrectly cleared in Sana when no states were returned from the ERP, causing the predefined USA and Canada state lists to be removed and preventing buyers from selecting a state in the webstore.
  • Fixed an issue where product variant component images were not displayed on the My Lists and Subscription pages in the webstore.
  • Fixed an issue where sales document line extra field values were not displayed on the sales document details page in the Sana webstore when the number of order lines exceeded the configured limit.
  • Fixed an issue causing customer-specific product pages to be included in the sitemap and exposed to search engine indexing.
  • Fixed an issue where sales orders placed during maintenance mode cannot be processed in Sana Admin because their delivery date falls before the current date.
  • Fixed an issue in the new visual designer where the Save button remains disabled after adding a preset to the mobile layout of the product details page.
  • Fixed an issue where the Experimental tooltip remains open when clicking outside it in the new visual designer.
  • Fixed several drag-and-drop related bugs in the new visual designer that caused unreliable behavior and layout inconsistencies.

We continue to improve and expand the platform, so keep an eye on our upcoming release notes for what's coming next.
