A New Way to Get Product List Prices from ERP, Store Locally and Show in the Webstore

To improve performance related to product prices, we have extended the ability to use product prices that are stored locally in Sana. Previously, the locally stored prices were used by Sana in the maintenance mode. Now you can also show the locally stored list prices to the anonymous webstore visitors and logged in customers even if there is an ERP connection not to request them directly from ERP and thus improve your webstore performance.

There is a new scheduled task called Prices import. It imports the product list prices from ERP to Sana. The customer specific prices, trade agreements, discounts and volume prices are not imported.

The locally stored list prices are shown in the webstore catalog. When a customer adds products to the shopping cart, all prices will be recalculated using all available price logic in ERP.

Using the new Local prices usage option, you can choose who should see the locally stored prices.

The product list prices for the maintenance mode are also retrieved now from ERP using the Prices import task instead of the Product import task.

Bug Fixes

One of the benefits of the minor releases on a regular basis is that you constantly receive bug fixes. Below you can see the list of some bugs that we fixed in this release. We do not add all bug fixes, but only the most important ones, since there are many technical fixes, minor design fixes, or performance-related fixes that we do not add to the release notes.

  1. Fixed issue with adding read-only text fields to the consumer profile in Sana Admin.
  2. Fixed issue with encoding special characters coming from Microsoft Dynamics GP, for example in the item description.
  3. Fixed issue with the Product image import task failure.
  4. Fixed issue with previewing product group pages.
  5. Fixed issue with displaying a retail discount/offer description on the product details pages.
