Sana Commerce Cloud 1.0.2
Release date: November 2, 2020
Active support: until 02/11/2023
Passive support: until 02/11/2025
Product Completeness
In this release, we are adding the following features that were not yet ready in the initial Sana Commerce Cloud release.
- Shop account roles and order authorization: Now you can create sub-accounts and account managers, set up spending limits and authorizers for the sub-accounts, approve or decline orders and see the authorization history.
- Import URL redirects: There is a feature in Sana called URL redirects. It allows to create the alias-based short URLs which are easier to remember than a full path and can be used to redirect users to the desired content. In the previous versions of Sana, you could also use the add-on to import URL redirects to Sana from the CSV file. Starting from Sana Commerce Cloud 1.0.2 importing URL redirects from CSV is a part of the standard URL redirects functionality.
- Google Tag Manager: added support for the payment (except extra payment step) and shipping checkout steps.

E-commerce Analytics (Preview)
The customer is the key to success of any business. No matter what kind of products and services you sell, your customer is foundation of your business. Furthermore, a customer determines the growth potential of a business. Therefore, you need to offer the best possible online shopping experience to your customers and there is one thing that can help you to do it right – data.
This is where e-commerce analytics can help as it allows to gather data that have an impact on your webstore. You can track your customers’ journey and understand their behavior and how it changes. It allows you to measure the number of transactions and revenue that your webstore generates and much more. Using this information, you can make fast and data-driven decisions as it can drive more online sales.
We are currently working on e-commerce analytics which will be available directly in Sana Admin. Now, you can only see the new navigation item in Sana Admin and a blank page. We still need to configure the reports to make them available to our customers. Once this is done, the reports will be automatically available.
There will be two versions of e-commerce analytics – light and advanced. Light reports will provide some basic information and will be free. Advanced reports will provide detailed e-commerce analytics and will be paid.
Below you can see an example of the e-commerce analytics that we are currently working on.
Security Improvements
- Change password: The password reset link for Sana Admin and webstore is now valid for 10 minutes instead of 24 hours.
- Only the latest password reset link is valid.
- The session of the Sana Admin / webstore user becomes invalid after changing the password.
