Sana Commerce Cloud uses the OAuth authorization protocol for Web services to connect to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Cloud. To enable this authentication for Sana Commerce Cloud and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, you will need to register an application in your Azure Active Directory tenant and grant access for that application in Business Central. This type of authentication does not require any internal users to be created and licensed separately. For more information, see Set Up OAuth Authentication.
Those who make purchases online in the webstore are considered external users. These are the organization’s customers and suppliers not performing business processes on behalf of the organization. External users do not have direct access to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
These external users do not require user licenses to access Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as it is included in your internal user licenses.
Any internal users, for example vendors performing business processes on behalf of the organization or integrated into the organization’s operations, must be properly licensed.
For more information, read the official Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Licensing Guide.
