Sana Compatibility Level
As you know, the Sana Commerce Framework and the Sana add-on in Microsoft Dynamics NAV are compatible within one major version. For example, you may have the version of the Sana Commerce Framework 9.3.5 and the version of the Sana add-on in ERP 9.3.3, although we recommend our customers to always run on the latest version of the Sana Commerce Framework and the Sana add-on in ERP.
There is a backward compatibility feature which allows the Sana add-on in Microsoft Dynamics NAV behave as one of the previous Sana versions. You don’t need to configure compatibility level unless you really need to.
In Microsoft Dynamics NAV click: Departments > Webshop > Administration > Setup.
For example, if you have the Sana webshop running on the Sana Commerce Framework 9.3, but you installed the new Sana Commerce Cloud add-on into your Microsoft Dynamics NAV. In this case, you can set up a compatibility level, so that your Sana add-on in Microsoft Dynamics NAV is compatible with your Sana Commerce Framework.
The compatibility level set in the Sana Commerce Setup window is applied globally to all your webshops. You can also set the compatibility level separately for each webshop in the webshop settings on the Optimization FastTab. For example, this might be useful if you have several Sana webshops running on different versions of the Sana Commerce Framework.
You can set the compatibility level separately for each webshop in the webshop settings starting from Sana Commerce Cloud 10.0.9 in Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
The compatibility level set per webshop has higher priority. If the compatibility level is not set for a webshop, then the one set globally in the Sana Commerce Setup window will be used.
