Webshop Optimization

Webshop optimization gives you greater control over your webshop features. You can tailor your experience by enabling or disabling certain features from this window. This allows you to optimize performance by disabling features you don't use for your Sana webshop, thereby conserving valuable resources and optimizing overall efficiency. As a rule of thumb, the more features you activate, the more resources are required. By disabling unnecessary features, you can ensure your webshop operates at peak performance without wasting extra resources.

Disabling a specific functionality will only affect your webshop’s performance if that functionality is actively in use. If a feature is not used in your Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations system, disabling it will not impact your webshop, since there is nothing to disable.

Keep in mind that you should only disable features in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations if they are not needed for your webshop. Disabling any feature means it will not be used in your Sana webshop.

Set Up Webshop Optimization Settings

Step 1: In Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations click: Webshop > Common > Webshops.

Step 2: Select the necessary webshop and on the Advanced options tab, click Webshop optimization.

If you have multiple webshops, you can configure optimization settings for each webshop.

In the Webshop optimization window, you can disable some functionality of the products catalog and ordering flow.

Multi-Threading

NOTE

Applies to: Sana Commerce Cloud 10.0.24 and higher in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.

Multi-threading feature in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations helps to optimize product price calculation and improve your webshop performance. The essence of multi-threading is that it calculates all product prices concurrently, which allows to save time and calculate product prices much faster. If multi-threading is not used, then prices are calculated separately for each product in succession.

Multi-threading is enabled by default. If you do not want to use multi-threading, you can disable it in the Webshop Optimization window.

Use Maximum threads to limit the number of threads. By default, the number of threads is set to 5 and can be changed between 2 and 10. This is to avoid AOS overloading which can lead to poor performance. This can also lead to out-of-memory or other problems.
