Sana Backward Compatibility
As you know, the Sana Commerce Framework and the Sana Commerce Cloud add-on in Microsoft Dynamics AX are compatible within one major version. For example, you may have the version of the Sana Commerce Framework 9.3.5 and the version of the Sana add-on in ERP 9.3.3, although we recommend our customers to always run on the latest version of the Sana Commerce Framework and the Sana add-on in ERP.
There is a backward compatibility feature which allows the Sana add-on in Microsoft Dynamics AX behave as one of the previous Sana versions. You don’t need to configure backward compatibility unless you really need to.
In Microsoft Dynamics AX click: Webshop > Webshops. Select the necessary webshop and click Webshop optimization at the top of the window.
For example, if you have several Sana webshops running on different versions of the Sana Commerce Framework, such as 9.3.0, 9.3.3, 9.3.5 and the new Sana Commerce Cloud, and you installed the new Sana Commerce Cloud add-on into your Microsoft Dynamics AX. In this case, for your webshops that are running on the earlier versions of the Sana Commerce Framework, you can set up backward compatibility.
