Which Data Can Be Migrated?
Most of the data can be migrated to Sana Commerce Cloud, but not all data. This mainly depends on the specific Sana version that you are running on, if your web store is standard or custom, etc.
If you plan to migrate from Sana Commerce 9 to Sana Commerce Cloud all data except content elements can be migrated. The main reason for that is because the Sana Commerce Cloud web store is re-built using the latest technology.
Content elements can be present on the following pages:
- Flexi-pages
- Product detail pages (middle and footer content)
- Product list pages (header and footer content)
- System pages (header and footer content): Basket page, Checkout pages, Contact us page, Login page, My account dashboard page, My account pages, Order confirmation page, Product compare page, Registration page
If you have content elements on the pages listed above, you will need to recreate this content manually after migrating to Sana Commerce Cloud.
Content elements cannot be migrated because we created a completely new content management system in Sana Commerce Cloud. Therefore, when your Sana web store is migrated to Sana Commerce Cloud, you will need to re-create your content elements using the new content management system. Content files can be migrated, such as product images and attachments.
