Supported Punchout Features and Limitations

Sana’s InstaPunchout solution supports the following:

  • Authentication through punchout – log in to the Sana webstore from the e-procurement system using single sign-on.
  • Shopping cart transfer from the supplier’s Sana webstore to the buyer’s e-procurement system.
  • Edit the shopping cart that has been transferred from the Sana webstore to the e-procurement system using punchout. Buyers who want to edit the shopping cart are redirected from the e-procurement system back to the Sana webstore, where they can make the necessary changes and transfer the shopping cart from Sana Commerce Cloud to their e-procurement system again.
  • Order placement from the buyer’s e-procurement system to the supplier’s ERP system through the Sana Commerce Cloud interfaces.
  • Order confirmation from the supplier’s ERP system to the buyer’s e-procurement system.
  • Advanced Shipping Notices for the orders from the supplier’s ERP system to the buyer’s e-procurement system.
  • Invoices for the orders from the supplier’s ERP system to the buyer’s e-procurement system.
  • Credit notes for the orders from the supplier’s ERP system to the buyer’s e-procurement system.

When a buyer initiates a punchout request from the e-procurement system to the Sana webstore, the following Sana Commerce Cloud functionality is not available:

  • Change password
  • Two-factor authentication
  • Edit order
  • Reorder
  • Discount codes
  • Sales agents
  • Subscriptions (recurring orders)
  • Order processing strategy optimized for large orders
  • Punchout functionality is only available for sales orders and does not support sales quotes.
