Instant Payment Notifications

The notifications are used to update the payment statuses of the orders in Sana. PayPal Checkout can send the notifications to Sana Commerce Cloud in the following cases:

• When the webstore goes down for some reason while the payment is being processed.

• When the payment is altered. For example, if PayPal refunds the money for the order.

• When pending payments are approved by the merchant.

To receive notifications from PayPal Checkout, you need to update the PayPal notifications URL.

Step 1:  Log in to the PayPal Business Manage with your PayPal account and click Account Settings > Notifications. Click Update on Instant payment notifications.

Step 2: The Instant Payment Notification (IPN) page will open. Click the button Edit settings on this page.

Step 3: Enter the Notification URL and select the option Receive IPN messages (Enabled).

The notification URL should be entered in the following format: <Your web site URL>/confirm/payment/PayPalCheckout
