Sana and MercadoPago
Compatibility:
- MercadoPago 1.0.0 is available for Sana Commerce Cloud 1.0.6 and higher
- MercadoPago 2.0.0 is available for Sana Commerce Cloud 1.0.18 and higher
The MercadoPago payment provider is available as an add-on. It can be installed from Sana Apps. In Sana Admin click: Apps > Add-ons.
It might happen that you don't have permissions to install Sana Apps, for example if you have a customized project or it was disabled by a web store administrator intentionally. In this case, you need to contact your Sana partner or project manager.
MercadoPago is a payment gateway solution for e-commerce merchants in Latin America to send and receive online payments. It is available in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay.
Sana Commerce is integrated with MercadoPago using Checkout Pro method. For more information, see Checkout Pro.
Due to MercadoPago limitations, Sana does not send shipping cost or discount to MercadoPago. Instead, Sana sends an extra dummy item to match the total price. It is used to fix the issue which occurs in MercadoPago, when calculating the total price.

Checkout Pro
When a customer clicks the Pay button on the last checkout step in the Sana web store, he or she will be redirected to the MercadoPago hosted payment page to complete the payment.
Pay through bank deposit, Pay through bank transfer and 3D Security features were not tested since these features are not supported on the MercadoPago test environment.
