USPS Migration Guide

NOTE

USPS has officially retired the API used in Sana's USPS Domestic app and introduced a new one. As a result, we have released USPS Domestic 2.0. To ensure uninterrupted service, we strongly recommend upgrading to the new app.

This guide explains how to migrate to the new USPS Domestic app and highlights key changes and deprecated features.

Migration Steps

Step 1: Set up the USPS Account. You need new API credentials, such as Consumer Key and Consumer Secret, to connect Sana Commerce Cloud to USPS. For more information, see Set Up USPS Account.

Step 2: After obtaining your credentials, configure the USPS shipping provider in Sana Admin. For more information, see Configure USPS Domestic.

Deprecated Features

Some features from the old USPS integration are no longer supported by USPS.

  • The Priority mail cubic service type is replaced with the Priority mail service type.

  • The First-class parcel service type is replaced with the Ground advantage service type.

  • The Content type and Lives type drop-downs are not available when creating the USPS Domestic shipping methods.
