Data-driven product recommendations based on customers’ purchasing behavior is a great way for merchants to cross-sell products and increase average order value giving shoppers more self-service options. Combined with machine learning technologies, recommendations evolve together with your customers’ buying patterns, providing an accurate overview of complementary and relevant products in your catalog.

The Product recommender content element allows merchants to display products that are frequently purchased together with the products a customer is looking at on a web store, so that customers can easily discover and order related or complementary products from the catalog. A specialized algorithm powered by machine learning analyzes customers’ sales data, both online and offline, to find real-world relationships between products and provide relevant product appropriate recommendations to customers. This facilitates autonomous catalog discovery by customers and allows you to sell more products without any additional effort.

It is also possible to select a product set for the product recommender so that a content manager can restrict the display of recommendations to a particular group of products.

Below you can see an example of the Product recommender content element on the product details page. The products shown on the content element are those which customers frequently buy together with the Aruba 6 seater set product.
