Sana Backward Compatibility

As you know, the Sana Commerce Framework and the Sana add-on in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations are compatible within one major version. For example, you may have the version of the Sana Commerce Framework 9.3.5 and the version of the Sana add-on in ERP 9.3.3, although we recommend our customers to always run on the latest version of the Sana Commerce Framework and the Sana add-on in ERP.

We have implemented a backward compatibility feature which allows the Sana add-on in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations behave as one of the previous Sana versions.

You don’t need to configure backward compatibility unless you really need to. For example, if you have several Sana webstores running on different versions of the Sana Commerce Framework, such as 9.3.0, 9.3.3, 9.3.5 and the new Sana Commerce Cloud, and you installed the new Sana Commerce Cloud add-on into your Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. In this case, for your webstores that are running on the earlier versions of the Sana Commerce Framework, you can set up backward compatibility.
