Not every release comes with new features, but we're always working behind the scenes to improve Sana Commerce Cloud. From boosting performance and reliability to fixing bugs and refining the user experience, each update helps make Sana Commerce Cloud better. We also include essential security updates to keep your data and our system safe. All of these improvements lay the groundwork for a stable, secure, and scalable platform. At the same time, we are working on new functionality that will be included in future releases.

What’s New?

Improved Translation Handling for Product Category Names

To avoid possible issues, we recommend that the default language of the Sana webstore and the default language of the ERP are the same. However, they may differ in some situations. For example, the webstore's default language can be English, while the ERP's default language is Dutch. Previously, when the default language was selected in the webstore, product category names were shown in the ERP's default language - in this example, Dutch instead of English. Now, Sana first checks whether the ERP contains a translation of the product category names for the webstore's default language and uses it. If there is no translation, the names from the ERP's default language are used.

Bug Fixes

One of the benefits of the minor releases on a regular basis is that you constantly receive bug fixes. Below you can see the list of some bugs that we fixed in this release. We do not add all bug fixes, but only the most important ones, since there are many technical fixes, minor design fixes, or performance-related fixes that we do not add to the release notes.

  • Fixed an issue with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations AOS (Application Object Server) instance that was causing order placement to fail.
  • Fixed an issue where, if an order's status in the ERP system changed from Open to something else while a user was editing it in the webstore, submitting the edited order would break the shopping cart.
  • Fixed an issue where checkout failed when using the multistep checkout flow with the PayFabric payment method. If the user clicked Add card on the Your wallet checkout step, the page would remain in a loading state until it became unresponsive.
  • Fixed an issue where a deleted product's custom URL remained reserved by its product enrichment record, preventing that URL from being reused for a redirect to a new product's URL.
  • Fixed an issue where an order could be submitted using a previously selected primary shipping address that had become unavailable during checkout instead of displaying a validation error.
  • Fixed an issue where a null reference exception is thrown when a shopping cart line extra field is missing, preventing checkout from completing successfully.
  • Fixed an issue where the Last viewed products content element settings opened in the right-hand panel instead of the Edit content window in the new visual designer.
  • Fixed an issue in the new visual designer where users cannot duplicate an element by holding the Ctrl key and dragging it to the desired column.
  • Fixed an issue that causes edited text to render as code on the page.
  • Fixed an issue affecting the visual presentation of the user interface in the new visual designer.
  • Fixed an issue that causes the webstore to crash when a shop account linked to multiple customers logs in.
