Symptoms

Issues with retrieving product and customer data from SAP Business One via the Web service. Certain webstore functionality can be unavailable, for example errors when running scheduled tasks, in the shopping cart or on the product details pages.

Cause

This issue occurs when there are special characters in SAP Business One data, for example in the Item code or Business Partner code. For example, the following special characters have been identified which cause problems @, #, $, ',but not all special characters are recognized yet. It is caused by a limitation in OData with the Service Layer.

Solution

This is a known issue for SAP. They are going to fix it in one of the future SAP releases. As a workaround, you can add these special characters to the Sana's appsettings.json file for SAP Business One, and it will encode and decode these special characters.
