Failed to Connect or Logon to SLD

Symptom

When configuring the connection to the SAP Business One database the following error occurs:

Failed to connect or logon to SLD.

Cause

When configuring the connection, the use of localhost instead of using the host name can cause a connection failure. It can be also caused because of the invalid License Server port.

Solution

1. Within the Server and License Server fields, enter the full host name of the server instead of using localhost. For example, SERVER1-SAPB1-01.

2. Check the port number of the License Server.

   

If none of the above solves the issue, then contact your SAP partner.
