Prepare SAP System Landscape
To ensure system stability and facilitate easy recovery, the SAP ECC instance and the server hosting the system landscape should be adequately backed up with the latest copy of the entire SAP system. This ensures that the system can be restored to its initial state if necessary. Additionally, there should be at least one available test (DEV / QA) SAP environment to perform the initial Sana add-on installation and testing before deploying it to the live (PROD) SAP system.
The Internet Communication Manager (ICM) should be configured to facilitate proper communication between the SAP System (SAP Web Application Server) and external networks via HTTP, HTTPS, and SMTP protocols. In its role as a server, the ICM processes incoming Internet requests that arrive as URLs, using the server / port combination that the ICM can listen to. The ICM then routes these requests to the relevant local handler for processing.
The transport tools tp and R3trans must operate correctly. Additionally, the Transport Management System (transaction STMS) should be configured properly to handle transports and process queues effectively.
