System Requirements

There is no official minimum for the hardware requirements that are needed to run the Sana add-on in Microsoft Dynamics NAV. If your Microsoft Dynamics NAV environment meets the recommended hardware and software requirements specified by Microsoft for your NAV version, then you should not have any problems with the Sana add-on.

However, you should also take into account any other software installed on the server. This leads to the extra hardware requirements that should be also taken into account.

If you do not already have Microsoft Dynamics NAV installed or you are missing some NAV components, please refer to the official Microsoft documentation for your NAV version or contact your ERP partner.

Sana uses Microsoft Dynamics NAV as the engine of the web store and communicates with it via the Web service. Therefore, you must understand that not only system requirements of the server where Microsoft Dynamics NAV is installed are important, but also of the server where the Sana web store is hosted.

Performance of the Sana installation can depend on many different factors and should be considered as a whole – the server where Microsoft Dynamics NAV is installed and the server where the Sana web store is hosted.

Running a web store connected to Microsoft Dynamics NAV might impact the performance of your NAV system. How big this impact will depend on whether you have a high-traffic or low-traffic web store – number of web store visitors, created orders, products in the shopping cart, size and complexity of the catalog, etc.

Network connection is also one of the important factors. Because of network latency we recommend to install Sana as closely as possible to your Microsoft Dynamics NAV system.
