Will I receive Sana GP Connector updates?
No, unless you or your ERP partner has updated the Sana GP Connector to the last version, of Q2 2023.
Can I still receive updates for the core Sana Commerce Cloud product?
Yes. However, there is no support for the Sana GP Connector after 2025. Although there are many fail-safes in place to prevent errors in the core Sana Commerce Cloud product, we will discuss moving your solution to the upgrade ring that does not receive regular updates. This will ensure the continued and reliable operation of your webstore(s). We highly recommend considering your current situation of combining the end-of-life ERP with the online sales strategy.
If a customer has the standard Sana Commerce Cloud solution and a new feature is released that requires the ERP connector upgrade, then the Sana GP Connector will not be able to support the new feature.
This principle applies to all standard Sana Commerce Cloud customers: when a new feature requires the ERP connector upgrade, customers must upgrade their ERP connector. Otherwise, this feature will not be available in the Sana Commerce Cloud product. Regarding Microsoft Dynamics GP, all new features that require Sana GP Connector upgrades starting from Q3 2023 will not be supported for Microsoft Dynamics GP. All other updates will be available to them.
What happens if something goes wrong? Who will provide support?
Until 2025, you will receive support from Sana Commerce to ensure continued maintenance of your webstore. Microsoft Dynamics GP resources are available for such cases. Sana Commerce Cloud has various automated checks to ensure that the webstore uses only the features supported by your installed ERP connector. If something goes wrong after the update, it will be fixed as stated above.
What is the process after the last ERP connector upgrade?
Your core Sana Commerce Cloud product will receive regular updates. Sana Commerce Cloud has various checks for the functionality that is supported by the installed ERP connector. It should be clarified that not all new or improved features require the ERP connector upgrade.
What will the process look like if I want to upgrade my ERP?
Treat this like any other ERP upgrade request (upgrade assistance). Contact your Sana Commerce Customer Success Manager for assistance with this process.
Is it still possible to add a webstore?
Yes, it is possible to add a webstore before the end-of-life date of December 31, 2025, but after this date, it is no longer possible.
Is it possible to continue developing customizations?
Yes, but not after December 31, 2025.
Can I still create tickets in Sana Sphere?
Yes, but after December 31, 2025, there will be no support, active or passive.
Will the current version of the Sana GP Connector continue to be tested with future versions of Microsoft Dynamics GP to ensure continued compatibility?
No, the final Sana GP Connector update was completed in Q2 2023, no further work will be done to the connector.
If it turns out that a future version of Microsoft Dynamics GP is incompatible with the Sana GP Connector, will Sana Commerce provide support to ensure connector compatibility before December 2025?
No, the final Sana GP Connector update was completed in Q2 2023, no further work will be done to the connector.
Update on support for Microsoft Dynamics GP version 18.6 and beyond. We will honor the contract we have with customers on support for the End-of-Life products.
This means:
- We WILL NOT add new features that may come out in versions after Microsoft Dynamics GP 18.5.
- We WILL provide support when there is a showstopper, for example, when customers cannot place orders, there are security issues, etc.
What if I have a Sana-related question after December 31, 2025?
Sana Commerce will answer any questions related to Sana Commerce Cloud and its add-ons after Microsoft Dynamics GP EOL. However, Sana Commerce will not be able to provide support for any issues related to Microsoft Dynamics GP.
