Free Text Invoices
Applies to: Sana Commerce Cloud 10.0.75 and higher in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.
Sana Commerce Cloud supports free text invoices in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. A free text invoice is an invoice that is not linked to a sales order, but only to a customer. It contains one or more lines for items or services that are not tracked in inventory. A sales manager or an accountant can use a free text invoice for sales that do not require a sales order, packing slip, and customer invoice, for example for counseling or certain services.
To create a free text invoice, in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations click: Accounts receivable > Invoices > All free text invoices.
The free text invoices created and posted in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations are available to the customers in the Sana webstore. They are shown with all other customer invoices. In the invoice details, the text Free text invoice is shown in the sales lines instead of the item number. B2B customers can pay free text invoices just like any other invoice.
